This recipe for Bombay Sloppy Joes caught my eye last week as I flipped through my Food Network Magazine (great magazine, by the way) & I thought it'd be a good dish to serve for football Sunday.
These Indian-inspired Sloppy Joes have garlic, ginger & Serrano peppers for lots of fresh flavor with a kick! Click here for the recipe.
Cooking is my therapy; my mind is quiet & I only focus on the task at hand rather than zipping around, thinking about the ten million things on my never ending to-do list. It's especially great when I cook while Cam naps!
My co-worker was nice enough to bring me cumin seeds that her in-laws brought from India. I had only used cumin in the ground form so this was a first for me.
Toasting up some pistachios & raisins for some sweetness & crunch.
We'll be enjoying this as our early Sunday dinner as we relax & watch football. Unfortunately the Bears aren't on until tonight... GO BEARS!!!
Oh & my sous chef Mike was nice enough to shell my pistachios! Thanks, big guy!
Looks yummy! Everything you cook always does!
ReplyDeletewow, that looks interesting! I'm sure it was delicious. That's cool that you had cumin straight from India!
ReplyDeleteHappy Football Sunday!
